Lessons

1. Rules of the Road
Knowing the rules isn’t just about passing your test — it’s what keeps you and everyone else on the road alive.

2. Sharing the Road
Driving means watching out for more than just cars — you’ve got to respect everyone from pedestrians to big rigs.

3. Auto Accidents: Causes & Prevention
Most crashes are preventable — learn what causes them so you don’t become part of the stats.

4. Psychological & Physiological Effects On the Driver
Your mood, mindset, and even how much sleep you got can be the difference between a smooth ride and a deadly mistake.

5. Driving Under the Influence
One bad decision behind the wheel under the influence can end your driving future — or someone else’s life.

6. How Physics and Natural Laws Impact Driving
You don’t need to be a science geek to know that speed, gravity, and momentum don’t care how experienced you are.

7. Auto History & Vehicle Components
Today’s smart cars started with simple machines — knowing your vehicle’s past helps you understand how it works now.

8. Signs, Signals & Road Marks
Ignore these, and you’re not just breaking the law — you’re missing the clues that keep traffic flowing and people safe.

9. California Licensing & Registration
Before you can hit the road, you’ve got to handle the paperwork — the legit way.

10. Teen Driving Responsibility
Getting your license is a privilege and a legal responsibility — how you handle it says everything about you.

Parents of Teens

Online classes have the additional benefit of increasing parental involvement in their teen’s learning process, which has been shown to be an important factor in teen safety. Experts will tell you that the biggest advantage of teen online driver education is that you, as parents, can be involved and see what your teen is learning. Driver.org has enrolled and passed over 50,000 students throughout California. We offer this important education today while your student’s local high school may make them wait or not offer it at all. Your teen can begin studying  immediately! You will enjoy that this is a Go-at-your-own-Pace program with No Timers and No Classrooms. Earning a provisional permit is the step in the graduated drivers license process.

Confused about the process? See our Parents Page.
