Driving in Orange County, California
Driving in Orange County can be fun, but it can be stressful at times. With a large population of native and foreign drivers, you’ll need to be prepared for anything that comes along to stay safe.
Driving on city and town roads is different from driving on county highways and freeways. You’ll need to know the rules of the road and driving laws for each type of scenario. The rules of the road teach you the laws and how they work. These rules are important because they provide us with guidelines and other motorists must be aware of them to drive on our roadways. While not everyone follows the rules, most motorists respect the law and drive safely.
Some rules of the road you’ll need to know and understand include the following topics:

Does the idea of sitting in a crowded classroom somewhere in Orange County for 30 hours over several saturdays sound depressing? Not looking forward to making the long distance commute to a driving school class somewhere in Anaheim, Santa Anna, Irvine, Huntingon Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, or San Clemente? With online drivers ed, you can avoid all of the pain of classroom drivers ed and at the same time take advantage of all the amazing things online education has to offer: low prices, convenience, interactivity, and a self-paced lesson plan. That means you can take the course on the computer or mobile device of your choice, when you want, wherever you want, and take as long or as quickly as you like. So forget the classroom and get online, you will be happy you did.
In California, teenagers must be 15½ before they can earn a learner’s driving permit. However, it makes most sense for teens to begin their drivers education when they turn 15. This will give you plenty of time to familiarize yourself with the rules of the road, read the driver handbook, and take several practice DMV tests before going to your local Aneheim or other DMV to take the written permit test. Our CA driver education program is approved for any teen in Orange County, whether you are home schooled or attend Anaheim High School, Fullerton Union High School, Edison High School, Irvine High School, or ANY other high school in Orange County.
Are you a Orange County high school student trying to manage a huge load of school work, athletics, or social activities? If so, then you probably don’t have a lot of extra time to have your parents drive you back and forth to some out of the way drivers ed class somewhere in Southern California. Why not take your drivers ed class from home, or on your phone, when and where you want to? Our CA driver ed course is incredibly simple: you sign up online, take the course online, and login and logout whenever and wherever you choose. Join students inAnaheim High School, Fullerton Union High School, Edison High School, or Irvine High Schoolwho already know that MyCaliforniaPermit.com is the best and most convenient way to earn your learner’s permit.
Teens who live in Southern California or attend Anaheim High School, Fullerton Union High School, Edison High School, Irvine High School, or any Orange County high school are eligible for our Orange County Driver Education program. To prepare for your written test, a teen must complete a drivers education course. For additional preparation, we highly recommend that the teen to study a California Driver Handbook.
